Introduction

One of the world’s largest wood products manufacturers, Georgia Pacific needed quick delivery of a 20-inch diameter by 12-foot-long screw conveyor with heavy duty construction along with a special drive unit. KWS and Motion provided the solution in less than 12 days.

Challenge

The old screw conveyor had reached the end of its life. During a one-day shutdown, KWS technical specialists accessed the hard-to-reach location so field measurements could take place. All crucial measurements were gathered, and the data recorded. A new complete screw conveyor was then needed for a plant outage in 2 weeks.
