General Description
The end user needed a solution for elevating peanut shells back into their existing conveying system after the shells had undergone further processing. KWS provided a horizontal screw feeder and vertical screw conveyor, which proved to be the ideal solution.

- Conveyor System Capacity: 500 Cubic feet per Hour
KWS Advantages
KWS worked directly with engineers at Prater-Sterling to design a screw feeder inlet that matched the output of the Prater-Sterling Hammermill. In doing so, we were able to minimize equipment stack up height and deliver smooth product transition between the two pieces of equipment. KWS engineers were able to provide 3D models and collaborate with Prater-Sterling engineers to ensure proper fit-up before the equipment’s arrival on-site. These joint efforts made for a seamless installation in the field.
Special Features
The special vertical screw conveyor discharge chute was designed and manufactured with complex angles. This allowed the new equipment to tie in perfectly to the existing equipment without having to make extensive and costly modifications to the existing conveying system.
Testimonial
"Appreciate all of KWS’s efforts and attentiveness on this project!"
