General Description
The user needed a solution for collecting, transferring, and elevating a mixture of four various materials from a line of bulk bag unloaders before the materials could undergo further processing in a pilot facility. KWS provided a horizontal collecting screw conveyor and vertical screw conveyor.

KWS engineers were able to collaborate with Ciris Energy and the engineers of their other equipment suppliers to ensure proper fit-up before the manufacturing the equipment. These joint efforts made for a seamless installation and performance in the field.
Special Features
The horizontal screw conveyor utilized three different flight types to meet the customer’s requirements. Cut flights were used throughout the inlet sections to create a shearing action, breaking apart any small lump. This was followed by cut and folded flights to provide a thorough lifting and mixing action of the various materials. The final section of the conveyor utilized standard flights to provide smooth product flow into the vertical screw conveyor optimizing performance.
